Deep clean

Kitchen

• Degrease cabinet fronts, handles, and backsplash
• Clean inside the microwave; wipe the exterior and top of the fridge
• Clean the stovetop thoroughly, including burner grates, drip pans, and knobs
• Wipe the range hood and scrub the sink, faucet, and disposal area
• Pull out small appliances and clean behind and under them

Bathrooms

• Scrub grout and remove soap scum and hard water buildup from tile, tubs, and glass doors
• Descale showerheads and faucets
• Clean the full toilet, including the base, bolts, and behind the tank
• Wipe cabinet fronts and clean exhaust fan covers

Throughout the house

• Hand-wipe baseboards, door frames, and doors
• Wipe light switches, outlet covers, and door handles
• Dust ceiling fans, light fixtures, vents, and return grilles
• Dust window sills, blinds, and ledges; clean interior window tracks
• Remove cobwebs from corners and ceilings
• Vacuum under beds and furniture that can be moved, and vacuum upholstery
• Edge carpets and clean hard floors along the edges and corners, not just the open areas
